History
It was in 1994 that Honda and Acura car owners all over Toronto experienced a shift in automotive maintenance service trends, all thanks to Altech Performance. Out with replica auto parts, insufficient maintenance and costly repairs; in with genuine parts, all-inclusive service and cost-effective repairs. With mechanic expertise and a wide selection of parts not readily available in most auto shops, we introduced a new brand of service to vehicle owners throughout Toronto. On February 15th, 2003, we moved to a larger facility located in central Toronto to better serve our customers. The new facility has three lift bays, and is fully equipped with all the tools and equipment necessary to satisfy your tuning and repair needs.
Our team at Altech has been involved with racing for years and has always been in the forefront of competition. We’ve participated in rally racing, road racing and drag racing – winning many awards and reaching milestones along the way.
Altech’s Honda Civic drag racing car was the first to break into the ten second barrier for imports in Canada and stood as the 2000 season’s fastest Canadian import with the time of 10.9 seconds at 127 miles per hour.
During the 2001 season, we again made history by being the first import in Canada to break into the 9 second barrier with an official time of 9.70 seconds at 148 miles per hour! These accomplishments came from many late nights of hard work, experience, effort, and most importantly a strong commitment from our team.
Our naturally aspirated H22A-powered Honda CRX drag car won the NCRA Pro Stock title for the 2003 season. We will again go head to head against the best all-motor dragsters in Canada in the following seasons. Our team at Altech continuously explores new horizons to ensure that we are on the forefront.
